There can be a lot of fun had on simple 3 Chord Guitar Songs and there are a lot of them out there as well and maybe a few that throw in one or two extra chords from time to time but still pretty simple none the less. These can be great songs for beginners to cut their teeth on and have lots of fun to playing with and at the same time they can be quite fun for veteran guitar players to have fun playing and practice soloing on. These songs are pretty easy to play and if you are at all familiar with them and know your basic guitar chords you won’t have any problem playing the progressions. If you do want to look at the tab and lyrics, you can easily find them available for free by searching online. Since they are minimal progressions the accuracy should not be much of a problem.
1. All Along The Watch Tower ( Am-G-F ) This is a great Bob Dylan tune that was also covered by The Grateful Dead and Jimi Hendrix.
2. Mony Mony (F-Bb-C) This is a Tommy James and The Shondells song also Billy Idol did a great version of it.
3. Wild Thing (A-D-E) Done by the Troggs the chorus breaks are just (G-A-G-A) When playing this song at weddings I like to have the groom come up on stage and do the singing to his new bride. If they’re willing it’s a lot of fun.
4. Sweet Home Alabama (D-C-G) with an (F-C-D) on the boo hoo hoo part. How easy is That?
5. Magic Carpet Ride is just (D-C-G) with a Bb thrown in on the chorus. Still a very cool song.

This is a short list to get you started but as I said it’s easy to find a lot more on the internet. If you’re just starting out on guitar you could easily learn 3 chord guitar songs to begin with and then move on to more complicated pieces.
